2014 Cross Country Hiking Trip in Sierras

This cross country backing packing trip was between July 28, 2014 to August, 20, 2014. Before the hiking trip, Bonnie and I visited Homestead Point and the slot canyons at Mono Lake. During the first section, we went over Taboose Pass, Cartridge Pass, Dumbbell Pass, Cataract Pass, and Bishop Pass. We camped at Taboose Creek, South Fork of the Kings River, Lake on the South side of Cartridge Pass, Tarn on the South side of Dumbbell Pass, North of Grouse Meadows on the Middle Fork of the Kings River, Saddlerock Lake. We meet are friends at Bishop Pass trail for resupply. The second section of the hike, we went over Bishop Pass, Ladder Pass, Muir Pass, and Piute Pass. We camped below Dusy Basin, Ladder Lake, Lake 11654, above the Middle Fork of the Kings River upstream from Big Pete Meadow, Sapphire Lake, Lake 11592 in Darwin Canyon, and on Piute Creek. During our third section, we went over Piute, Carol Col (Puppet Pass), Royce Pass, Pine Creek Pass, Steelhead Pass, and Piute Pass. We camped at Desolation Lake, on the French Canyon Creek, Tarn above Honeymoon Lake inlet, Steelhead Lake, and Desolation Lake. We meet our friends in Las Altos to go biking after the backpacking trip.
