In early July, 2016, I hiked the middle section of the Cape Wrath Trail. Bonnie and I flew to Birmingham, England and stayed with sister. The next day Bonnie and I took a train to Edinburgh. We walked the Royal Mile and tour the castle. July 3, I got trains to Inverness and then to Achnashellach to start my hike. The first day, I hiked on road and then cross country to Bendronaig Lodge. I shared a meal with a hiker from the either direction. The next day, I hiked cross country to Moal-Bhuidhe and then to Iron Lodge on River Elchaig. I camped in an abandoned house in Carnach on Loch na Leitreach. I asked a herder for permission to spend the night. July 6, I hiked to the top of the Falls of Golomach and then cross country to Dorusduain Wood down to Morvich. I then took the Great Glen Way to Alltbeithe. I stayed at a hostel with very sore feet. I meet a young man with his daughter hiking the other direction in the hostel. The next day, I hiked the Affric Kintail Way to Cannich. I spent the night at a campground. The following morning caught a bus to Inverness and then trains to Birmingham. I met Bonnie at Birmingham and my sister gave us a tour of the Peak District.
