Welcome. I am associate professor of Computer Science and affiliated associate professor of Human Factors. My interest is in computer use, especially by humans. I believe that the future of computing is ubiquitous computing and that the current manifestation is mobile apps. The challenge of this future is to make the computing usable to both the users and developers. Please see my research and projects. When I have time, I like to hike, bike, and ski. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan has many opportunities for these pursuits.
